2004 Corvette Show and Shine

On July 24th Corvette enthusiasts  gathered at Crosstown Chevrolet to show their cars and raise much needed cash & non perishable goods for the Sudbury Food Bank. With over 67 "Vettes" from the Durham Corvette Club, Niagara Corvette Club, and as far away as Michigan. It truly was a big success for the Corvette Club in Sudbury, as we surpassed last years total and raised $2400.00 dollars this year. We would like to thank all the companies that gave generously to support our cause.

A special thanks goes out to Gordon Drysdale for the beautiful print of a nostalgic car scene from years gone buy, and the wonderful photos that Gordon took of our show & shine for the club.

Shown below are the numerous prizes that were awarded to the participants from the sponsors.

Highlight of the cruise was the draw for the Gordon Drysdale Print shown above, which was won by one of the lucky participants .

The draw was held at Don Cherry's after the cruise dinner.

Fund Raiser a Success For 2004

What an Event!
Sudbury Corvette Club again exceeds its target in assisting the Sudbury Food Bank through their annual “Corvette Show and Shine “ Car show.

Dan Xilon Administrator of the Sudbury Food Bank accepts a cheque on behalf of the Board from Norm Marcil Chair and VP of the Corvette Club of Sudbury, along with Annette Neron President and Pierre Neron Activity Coordinator. This year’s event was the biggest ever and allowed the participants (many who were guests to our fair city) and Club members help the Sudbury Food Bank fill its shelves.

Donations this year were over the $2,500.00 mark along with hundreds of pieces of non-perishable food items. This exceeded the expectations of the event planners by 100%.  It’s thanks to organizations and businesses such as Crosstown Oldsmobile Chevrolet Ltd, K95.5 FM, & the Sudbury Corvette Club along with Sudbury’s wonderful citizenry that the Sudbury Food Bank maintains its ability to feed our area's hungry.
